Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah is revealing how her anger issues almost led to her divorce from her husband, Coach Sharrieff Shah.
Jen Shah opened up about her marital woes on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and revealed how her anger issues almost led to a divorce with her husband Sharrieff Shah. After a season of ranting and raving against the cast, Jen is now sharing how her outbursts affected her marriage. Sharrieff stood by her side despite how poor her actions were on RHOSLC season 1. Now, as she faces serious felony charges, Jen appears to be singing a new tune.
Viewers were upset with Coach Shah last season after watching him seemingly coddle his wife whenever she yelled and screamed over things not going her way. Jen opened up about her mental health struggles and how her father’s death negatively impacted her. However, fans found it hard to look past Jen’s immature RHOSLC outbursts due to how frequently they occurred. By the reunion, Jen was called out by the cast over her “bad girl” behavior throughout the debut season. Alas, a series of leaked audio scandals revealed Jen was only scratching the surface when it came to how disturbing her behavior could be.
Ahead of the RHOSLC season 2 premiere, Jen appears ready to own up to her outlandish actions due to how they almost ended her marriage. In a sneak peek clip of the new season shared by Bravo, Jen opens up to Lisa Barlow about the moment she felt like her “world was ending” because of her husband. “Six months ago, Sharrieff and I almost got a divorce,” Jen confessed. “Lisa, I thought my life was, like, over.” Jen’s behavior led her husband to believe he couldn’t be the support she needed. “Sharrieff felt like he wasn’t being a positive influence in my life, like he couldn’t help me,” she explained.
Viewers blasted Jen for her antics, but it took longer for her husband of 26 years to address it. “What I didn’t realize was how I was acting, and because I hadn’t fully told him how I was feeling, it made him feel like he was the problem. And so, he was like, ‘OK, I have to leave,'” she revealed. Jen initially thought the argument was something they could move past given that they’ve been married for nearly three decades. However, she was in for a bigger surprise after being contacted by a divorce attorney. “He had already reached out to a divorce attorney. And Lisa, I was devastated,” Jen admitted.
It’s clear that Jen and Sharrieff were able to move past their differences and come back together, as Jen is dealing with more than just a possible divorce. She is facing 10 to 30 years in prison if found guilty of fraud and money laundering charges. Jen and her assistant Stuart Smith are currently being accused of running a nationwide telemarketing scheme. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 2 is set to reveal all the drama surrounding Jen’s arrest and how she deals with the aftermath. Therefore, she will need the support of Sharrieff on her side as she prepares for what could be a years-long journey to her possible incarceration.
